I’d be lost without my roots. Whether good or bad, roots run deep! From seeing my mamaw lola’s magical sewing room and the seed that was planted in me for creating, or going out to see my mamaw nelli’s garden, and the new found love i have for holding tradtions like canning and jelly making. I didn’t know as a little girl that these generational roots would be a part of who i am today.   I want to share with you a side of little ole me that doesn’t get shown on duck dynasty. From livivng off the land, to supporting local farmers, i hope to encourage you to take steps, no matter how small, for a healthier lifestyle.

This is so awesome! I can’t wait to see what you share…. we are living off our own little slice of Heaven here in Quiet Corner of CT trying to live a simple homesteading lifestyle as well. We actually have our goat milk soaps over at Duck & Dressing (Sparrow Soaps)……would love to someday come down and visit and teach y’all (throwing in some southern talk) to make homemade cold process soap the good old fashion way! Trying to plan a road trip soon~
Anyway, keep shining His Light……you guys are awesome. 🙂

We just recently had a family reunion in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We made reservations to eat dinner with the family members that could attend. luckily we were able to fit 50 of us. That’s not even half of our family. Nevertheless, the restaurants name is Raices. We quickly realized that it was meant to be, “Raices” which means Roots. It was the main reason why we were there…Celebrating our Raices. Thank you for sharing your story.
Many blessings to you and your family…Raices!

My 12 year old daughter got to see your sis Korie at the WOF conference & it made a huge impression on her. She came home & created her own business to fund sponsoring a little boy through World Vision. Thank you for being a family that is a positive role model for the youth in a dark world. God is good & is doing amazing things through you. Please like her fb page. I know it would mean a lot to her. http://www.facebook.com/applegramm

    About Me

    About Me
Hello! My name is Jessica Robertson and I’m married to the youngest Robertson, Jules Jeptha, and yes I love the BEARD!

I am so glad you could join me on this endeavor of life without the cameras. I hope this lifestyle blog will encourage you, inspire you, and down right draw us closer together.

Life is short, so let’s encourage and lift each other up. I’m passionate about life and believe The Cure is LOVE! Doesn’t matter where you come from or how old you are, we are all in this together and we can learn from one another.

I know that without my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I’d be lost. And I live with the peace that Christ died for my sins and rose from the grave and now isn in Heaven preparing a place for me, that’s what my hope is in, that one day I will live for ETERNITY in HEAVEN with my GOD.

I’m a blessed mama of four. I’m a lover of all things vintage. I’m an oldie at heart. I may have been born in the wrong century. I cry when anyone else cries, which my kids make fun of. I want to be a farmer when I grow up. And last but not least, I LOVE my mate!

Hope you can join me on this journey of life, cooking, gardening/living off the land, fashion/beauty, sewing/creating, Holiday’s, and more.

    Lets learn together!
