Brookie’s Baby Shower

jessica | September 16, 2015

Celebrating new life!

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:5

This celebration was pretty dear to me. Our Brooke has been with us for a good 10 years. First as a helper with the kids, then full on babysitter, and since her becoming a wife last year, she became my assistant, and now we are celebrating her baby boy coming this fall. I can’t believe our Brookie is grown, and becoming a mama. She’s meant so much to me and my family. I have loved her like a daughter, sister, and friend. I just can’t wait to hold that little red head baby boy!!

Let The Party Planning Begin!

With the help of my friends, “the party planning committee”, we were able to take the theme “The Farm Life” to a whole new level.  What a joy and blessing is was to open my home up to all of our church family, and friends to celebrate the new life coming into this world.  My besties Ashleigh McGehee and Wendy Johnson and I love to host and decorate!

Cotton… totally southern, totally Louisiana!!!  Any farm themed party should include a little cotton!

I love vintage scales! I have them throughout my house, I’m sure you will see more as my collection grows. And I love this center piece with the tin, cotton, and cornstalks.

⁃ burlap table and countertop (from any fabric store)
⁃ red gingham table cloth and napkins (potterybarn)
⁃ cotton (Paul micheal company)
⁃ cow and pig plate (Paul Michael)

-vintage scale (antique store)

I seriously love to serve by hosting! Getting together to with friends and family, visiting, eating, and just having a good time all while celebrating!  And don’t forget to have plenty of hosts, makes for more of a variety of food and doesn’t put all the pressure and budget on you.

Showering this little man and mama with gifts!

And the gifts keep coming for this beautiful redhead.

I love this! Mrs. Kay totally surprised us with a reading and prayer. What a blessing she’s been to all around her and I know she will love being this new little ones mamaw Kay. I’ve learned so much about unconditional love by watching her live her life. She is all heart and I know that’s why everyone falls in love with this Godly woman.

Surrounding this mama and unborn baby boy with love and prayers. Lifting up prayers for a healthy delivery and speedy recovery for mama. And giving praise to God for being the creator of ALL things.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mothers womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful. I know that full well. Psalm 139:13-14

I love how the little ones are helping Brooke.  I’m sure it was tuff not to open them all!!

Brooke is glowing. God has blessed both she and her husband with a precious gift. Hope she has a red head. My husband, son, and two of my six grandchildren are redheads. The decorations were so beautiful as were the hostesses.

    About Me

    About Me
Hello! My name is Jessica Robertson and I’m married to the youngest Robertson, Jules Jeptha, and yes I love the BEARD!

I am so glad you could join me on this endeavor of life without the cameras. I hope this lifestyle blog will encourage you, inspire you, and down right draw us closer together.

Life is short, so let’s encourage and lift each other up. I’m passionate about life and believe The Cure is LOVE! Doesn’t matter where you come from or how old you are, we are all in this together and we can learn from one another.

I know that without my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I’d be lost. And I live with the peace that Christ died for my sins and rose from the grave and now isn in Heaven preparing a place for me, that’s what my hope is in, that one day I will live for ETERNITY in HEAVEN with my GOD.

I’m a blessed mama of four. I’m a lover of all things vintage. I’m an oldie at heart. I may have been born in the wrong century. I cry when anyone else cries, which my kids make fun of. I want to be a farmer when I grow up. And last but not least, I LOVE my mate!

Hope you can join me on this journey of life, cooking, gardening/living off the land, fashion/beauty, sewing/creating, Holiday’s, and more.

    Lets learn together!
