At first I didn’t know if I loved these strange plants called succulents, but after my oldest, Lily, kept asking me to buy some(like all the time…seriously, kids are persistent), I researched all the different kinds out there, I quickly grew fond of them. One day in Austin we stopped by the Whole Foods and they had pretty impressive spread of succulents, so what did Lily and I do…..we loaded an entire cart! I found a really cool hanging old wooden crate and new this was my home for my succulents. I’m still new to the succulent world, but have fallen in love with these odd little plants.
Supplies:
- Pebble rocks
- Cactus and Succulent soil mix (I use the organic one)
- Water Spritzer
- Something cute and simple to place your plants in ( I chose a wooden crate)
Go grab a variety of cactus and succulents, I found these gems at Whole Foods!
Pour the cactus and succulent soil mix into whatever you decided to plant them in.
Then take the plant out of the plastic tray and place it into the soil and pat the soil around the roots.
After you have all your plants into the soil scoop the pebbles and pour a thin layer just enough to cover the soil.
Sprits the plants with a water spritzer. Remember cactus and succulents don’t need much water so don’t water them with a water hose! They also needs lots of sun!
Were hanging ours on our porch where the sun beams in!
